Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) KRAKATOA F.C.'s Júnior Campidelis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. KRAKATOA F.C.'s José Maria Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save KRAKATOA F.C. from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Enrique Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karavela's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Maria Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Karavela getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ruy Quirino hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes KRAKATOA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Aguiar. When Enrique Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Karavela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Mattos couldn't finish the play. Denílson Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Alvarenga in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KRAKATOA F.C.'s zone, Bruno Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Paiva came out of the goal and Bruno Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Karavela's Guto Rosado in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KRAKATOA F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Enrique Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guto Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. José Maria Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Enrique Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, KRAKATOA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Guto Rosado came free, but José Maria Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of KRAKATOA F.C. booed when Karavela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match Tiago Gabriel Baptista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denílson Catarinense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Bruno Lopes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Maria Paiva, 1-0. With a little luck, KRAKATOA F.C.'s José Maria Paiva got control of the ball when Dino Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karavela's Bruno Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Saldanha got free with José Maria Paiva in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guto Rosado made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Gabriel Baptista during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st minute, one of KRAKATOA F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KRAKATOA F.C.. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Karavela. Sílvio Luís Barral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving José Maria Paiva. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Campidelis in the 59th minute of play forced Karavela's goalkeeper Denílson Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denílson Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Aguiar in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Caco de Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KRAKATOA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Caco de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Denílson Catarinense made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in KRAKATOA F.C.'s zone, Bruno Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Paiva came out of the goal and Bruno Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisão Alvarenga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. José Maria Paiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Lopes went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Enrique Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Paiva having to interfere. During the 86th minute of the match Fabrício Aguiar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabrício Aguiar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 93 minutes, Caco de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KRAKATOA F.C. and the Karavela players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to KRAKATOA F.C. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Caco de Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind KRAKATOA F.C.'s goalkeeper José Maria Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KRAKATOA F.C.'s Caco de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karavela walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
