The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cabo Frio's Jeferson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Tróia in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6thth minute of the game Russ Bull who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esporte Clube Zeus's Chico Răica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luan Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeferson Gaúcho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luan Campidelis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, Esporte Clube Zeus's Luan Campidelis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeferson Gaúcho. Jeferson Gaúcho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Luan Campidelis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jeferson Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. Russ Bull recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Esporte Clube Zeus's Luan Campidelis in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cabo Frio's goalie prevented a goal. Esporte Clube Zeus were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Cabo Frio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudio Caniggia took the corner. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Jeferson Gaúcho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cabo Frio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Luan Campidelis scored to the left of an out of position Jeferson Gaúcho, making the score, 3-0. Jeferson Gaúcho was a little too slow when Luan Campidelis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 4-0. 32 minutes into the game, Esporte Clube Zeus's Luan Campidelis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeferson Gaúcho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 37th minute, Luan Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luan Campidelis in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeferson Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafinha Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jeferson Gaúcho made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Russ Bull was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Cabo Frio got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Leite. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Caniggia in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeferson Gaúcho saved Cabo Frio from getting behind. 66 minutes into the game, Luan Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Jeferson Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Cabo Frio defense, Luan Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeferson Gaúcho. The Cabo Frio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeferson Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. If Rafinha Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, Cabo Frio's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Campidelis came free, but Jeferson Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cabo Frio's Jeferson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Cabo Frio's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Campidelis came free, but Jeferson Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Rafinha Tróia made a precise shot to the right of Jeferson Gaúcho. Cabo Frio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. After 89 minutes, Claudio Caniggia made it 12-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cabo Frio's Jeferson Gaúcho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jefferson Lopez hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Jeferson Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luan Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that Esporte Clube Zeus were the better team. Esporte Clube Zeus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
