Franklin Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russ Bull, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franklin Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Fernandez in the 10th minute of the match. Franklin Linhares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Félix went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute, Tiago Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cabo Frio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Tiago Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabo Frio's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franklin Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franklin Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Félix in the 19th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Gostoso AD got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Melo. Franklin Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pereira to make the kick off. Jeferson Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ezequiel Lopez hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Franklin Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Russ Bull's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, João Augusto Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gostoso AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Augusto Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Franklin Linhares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 83rd match minute, Gostoso AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Paes to maneuver through the defense. Russ Bull did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-5 to the left of a surprised Franklin Linhares 85 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gostoso AD's zone, Russ Bull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Linhares came out of the goal and Russ Bull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gostoso AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabo Frio the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Gostoso AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Lopez to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Russ Bull's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franklin Linhares was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 94th minute Jaime Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Gaúcho having to interfere. If Jaime Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Cabo Frio left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gostoso AD.
