After 21 played minutes Gostoso AD got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Melo. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Augusto Paes got free with Robin Courtois in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Augusto Paes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Robin Courtois firmly grabbed it by the left post. Carmelo Guilabertus kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If João Augusto Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Pereira struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Robin Courtois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gostoso AD. João Augusto Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Robin Courtois made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Guilabertus to make the kick off. Robin Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pereira in the 54th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Mogi Masters's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Paes came free, but Robin Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Augusto Paes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Pereira in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Courtois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Elivélton Romero fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gostoso AD's protests and gave Elivélton Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Gostoso AD got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Romero. Silvério Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ezequiel Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes of play Gostoso AD's Elivélton Romero was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 83 played minutes Gostoso AD got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Romero. If Enrique Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, João Augusto Paes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Courtois was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. João Augusto Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Robin Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Paes in the 96th minute of play forced Mogi Masters's goalkeeper Robin Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gostoso AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mogi Masters had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
