With a little luck, 17 de Novembro's Aírton Toledo got control of the ball when Cleiton Mineiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafim Britto charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafim Britto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of 17 de Novembro booed when JumentuS de Turim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Márcio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Aurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Cavalcante in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, JumentuS de Turim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Leite came free, but Santo Aurre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in JumentuS de Turim FC's zone, Frédson Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Aurre came out of the goal and Frédson Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Frédson Quadros notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of JumentuS de Turim FC's Santo Aurre. Santo Aurre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 37 minutes into the match, JumentuS de Turim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Leite came free, but Santo Aurre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes 17 de Novembro got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Vasconcelos. Aírton Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleiton Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Frédson Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the 17 de Novembro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédson Quadros couldn't finish the play. In the 70th match minute, JumentuS de Turim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Britto to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrézinho Cavalcante during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aírton Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Toledo in the 76th minute of the match. 17 de Novembro's Aírton Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleiton Mineiro in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, 17 de Novembro's goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Mineiro came free, but Aírton Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Arósio in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, 17 de Novembro's Carlos Eduardo Sarmento seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Eduardo Sarmento the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. After having played for 98 minutes, Andrézinho Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 17 de Novembro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The JumentuS de Turim FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 17 de Novembro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
