Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After having played for 15 minutes, Süleyman Buminhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascatinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Süleyman Buminhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Aírton Toledo managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Cascatinha's Benê Pinheiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Márcio Leite came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the 17 de Novembro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio Leite couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cascatinha's Guga Quadros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aírton Toledo. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Benê Pinheiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Aírton Toledo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aírton Toledo stood somewhat misplaced when Benê Pinheiro came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 27 minute. After 30 played minutes 17 de Novembro got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Leite. Aírton Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guga Quadros's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Benê Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aírton Toledo was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Benê Pinheiro sped through 17 de Novembro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aírton Toledo. Aírton Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márcio Leite made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Pinheiro in the 52nd minute of play forced 17 de Novembro's goalkeeper Aírton Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aírton Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benê Pinheiro in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Benê Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cascatinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Cascatinha made a substitution. Adilson Viana replaced Emanuel da Silva. The supporters of Cascatinha booed when 17 de Novembro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Benê Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valério de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cascatinha's protests and gave Valério de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Cascatinha got a freekick which was hit by Valério de Senna. When Cascatinha's Benê Pinheiro in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 17 de Novembro's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benê Pinheiro in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aírton Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Pinheiro in the 95th minute of play forced 17 de Novembro's goalkeeper Aírton Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cascatinha fully deserved thier win.
