Final FT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xu Ao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute Samuel Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Benito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Bahamas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Quintal came free, but Domingo Benito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xu Ao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Domingo Benito made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Final FT's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Alves came free, but Didi do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Cornelio Inko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Didi do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Sabóia went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the game, Bahamas FC's Cornelio Inko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Didi do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 43 minutes into the game, Natanael Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Final FT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bahamas FC the free kick. After 43 played minutes Final FT got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Paranaense. In the 45th minute, Terry Butcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Quintal to make the kick off. Didi do Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Domingo Benito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Ao, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With 90 minutes on the clock, Anderson Tróia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bahamas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Final FT a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Serafim Lago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bahamas FC's Domingo Benito. 1-6. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Final FT's goalkeeper Didi do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
