After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nelsinho Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAÇA NARANJA's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramón Favoretto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cássio Severo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. When Sugar Villavicencio fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A. A. INTERNACIONAL's protests and gave Sugar Villavicencio a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes A. A. INTERNACIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Sugar Villavicencio. 94 minutes into the match, A. A. INTERNACIONAL's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão Fontes came free, but Ramón Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frederico Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded A. A. INTERNACIONAL left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CAÇA NARANJA.
