Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Verde's Emílio Queiroz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laerte de Carvalho was a little too slow when Emílio Queiroz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Armandinho Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute, Luís Fernando Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Emílio Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verde's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laerte de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18thth minute of the game Gervasio Divaichin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verde's Armandinho Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Queiroz in the 22nd minute of play forced noname's goalkeeper Laerte de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, noname's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zé Carlos Fernandez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 24th match minute, noname was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Regueira to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte de Carvalho having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, noname's goalkeeper Laerte de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos Fernandez. In the 31st match minute, Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Armandinho Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Goiano in the 32nd minute of play. Zé Carlos Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laerte de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Carlos Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Verde's Zé Carlos Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laerte de Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliézer Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliézer Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cacá de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte de Carvalho having to interfere. When Emílio Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Queiroz couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 58th minute, Gervasio Divaichin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The noname fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Zé Carlos Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Laerte de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verde. Zé Carlos Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laerte de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Carlos Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Emílio Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte de Carvalho having to interfere. During the 69th minute of the match Eliézer Jacinto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eliézer Jacinto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 70th match minute, Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. If Zé Carlos Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Severo made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cacá de Queiroz. Zé Carlos Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte de Carvalho having to interfere. Emílio Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Laerte de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Zé Carlos Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte de Carvalho having to interfere. Zé Carlos Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Laerte de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verde. Zé Carlos Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Emílio Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verde's protests and gave Emílio Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Emílio Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Verde supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching noname's performance. The match ended with a win for noname.
