Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Mota in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armandinho Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emílio Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SE Digolas's Fernando Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Fernandez in the 32nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SE Digolas's Mané Mota slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armandinho Sá. That made the score 1-0 after 34 minutes of play. If Elivélton Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

In the 56th minute, Verde's Eliézer Jacinto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando Alvarenga. Fernando Alvarenga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 64th minute, Emílio Queiroz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Alvarenga. The goal made the score 1-2. When SE Digolas's Baltazar Tande in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verde's goalie prevented a goal.
