The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Borges's late challenge caught a Quijing BA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Borges helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Ricardo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horácio de Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pietruzzu Anastasi went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th match minute, Pântano Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Gomes to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes Pântano Madrid's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manuel Arce who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Arce got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Horácio de Mendonça quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute, Pietruzzu Anastasi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Pietruzzu Anastasi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quijing BA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rui Vieira didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pântano Madrid's Joaquim Seco shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. When Pietruzzu Anastasi came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Quijing BA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pietruzzu Anastasi couldn't finish the play. Luizinho de Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horácio de Mendonça having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Pietruzzu Anastasi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quijing BA's supporters rose to their feet, but Pietruzzu Anastasi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horácio de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pietruzzu Anastasi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Horácio de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quijing BA. César de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Horácio de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Pântano Madrid's Juan Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Vieira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Gilvan Leal fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quijing BA's protests and gave Gilvan Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Gilvan Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edmílson Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, Pântano Madrid's Sydney Britto tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 73rdth minute of the game Pietruzzu Anastasi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pântano Madrid's Horácio de Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Quijing BA's Pietruzzu Anastasi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Joaquim Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Ricardo Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quijing BA played a much better game than Pântano Madrid and deserved their victory. The Pântano Madrid players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
