Horácio de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rafinha Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Juan Lara came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pântano Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Lara couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the game, João Pedro Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zebelezinho SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pântano Madrid the free kick. After 32 played minutes Zebelezinho SS got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Matos. In the 39th minute, Juan Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusébio Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horácio de Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusébio Recife ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Pântano Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Maranhense came free, but Horácio de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Ricardo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Pântano Madrid players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zebelezinho SS were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Lara made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Eusébio Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Horácio de Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Horácio de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Silvério Maranhense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 59 played minutes Pântano Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Borges. Joélson Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Lara in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Cruz saved Zebelezinho SS from getting behind. Eusébio Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horácio de Mendonça having to make a save. Augusto Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Seco in the 73rd minute of the match. Silvério Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio de Mendonça having to interfere. If Silvério Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horácio de Mendonça having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Maranhense in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horácio de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pântano Madrid's goalkeeper Horácio de Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eusébio Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio de Mendonça having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Edmílson Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes, Zebelezinho SS's Jacinto Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horácio de Mendonça came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebelezinho SS reached it. Rafinha Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zebelezinho SS played a much better game than Pântano Madrid and deserved their victory. The Pântano Madrid players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
