David Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Quixaba Futebol clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fernando Messias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamílton Cordeiro in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Absalon Boegh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Quixaba Futebol clube booed when Aramina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Absalon Boegh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes, Fernando Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aramina and the Quixaba Futebol clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute Hamílton Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Absalon Boegh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Quixaba Futebol clube's Hamílton Cordeiro in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Quixaba Futebol clube. Humberto Negri stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Absalon Boegh. 1-1. In the 41st minute, David Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Absalon Boegh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamílton Cordeiro in the 51st minute. Absalon Boegh didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 57 minutes into the match, Aramina's goal looked a bit too open when David Nascimento came free, but Absalon Boegh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Aramina's goalkeeper Absalon Boegh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamílton Cordeiro. When Gino Branco came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Quixaba Futebol clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Branco couldn't finish the play. If David Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Aramina got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Messias. Absalon Boegh made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Gino Branco sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th match minute, Aramina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Furlan to maneuver through the defense. Ricardinho Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Absalon Boegh having to interfere. Naldo Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Absalon Boegh made a huge save. When David Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Quixaba Futebol clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Absalon Boegh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Quixaba Futebol clube played a much better game than Aramina and deserved their victory. The Aramina players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
