The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Moraes got free with Osvaldinho Paraense in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 4 minutes, Remo Paraibano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulino and the Chuteira Santa F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Paulino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chuteira Santa F.C booed when Paulino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovânio Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ismael Romero hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Paulino defense, Fausto Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldinho Paraense. The Paulino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldinho Paraense should have stopped the shot. Fausto Moraes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 23rd playminute. After having played for 26 minutes, Fausto Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chuteira Santa F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Kiko de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Geovânio Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Paulino got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr de Brito. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Paulino's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo de Moraes came free, but Osvaldinho Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Moraes took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldinho Paraense. Osvaldinho Paraense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Osvaldinho Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Moraes in the 61st minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Chuteira Santa F.C's Fausto Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldinho Paraense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. A collision led to Chuteira Santa F.C getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vivaldo de Moraes hit a great ball. After 70 played minutes Paulino got a freekick which was hit by Kiko de Lara. William Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Paraense having to make a save. Fausto Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Osvaldinho Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Moraes in the 77th minute of play forced Paulino's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Paraense came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Chuteira Santa F.C's Ismael Romero. But to his dismay, Ismael Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Vivaldo de Moraes scored 8-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Paraense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Romero in the 89th minute of play forced Paulino's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juarês Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, Juarês Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldinho Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Chuteira Santa F.C a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vivaldo de Moraes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paulino's Osvaldinho Paraense. 9-0. Geovânio Vander was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Kiko de Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kiko de Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 9-1.
