Basílio Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Toledo came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by União Independente's Sydney Madureira. But to his dismay, Sydney Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alexandre Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Sydney Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Toledo. Manaus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sydney Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alexandre Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Madureira's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Basílio Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Basílio Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Sá was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Orlando Bittencourt scored 0-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Sidnei Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 62 minutes, Erik Gaspar made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. União Independente's Cauan Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, União Independente's Sydney Madureira got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 74 played minutes União Independente got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Sá. Alexandre Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Cunha in the 82nd minute of the match. Alexandre Toledo made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sydney Madureira sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Basílio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th match minute, União Independente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, União Independente's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Monteiro came free, but Cauan Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The União Independente players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
