Floresta EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodriguinho de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Barriero EC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Makariem came free, but Dedê da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Jacinto Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Floresta EC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Paulo de Medeiros hit a great ball. Elano Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ball Bender read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Wilson Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedê da Silveira. Barriero EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilson Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dedê da Silveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but João Carlos Hoffmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 33 minute of play. Barriero EC's Dedê da Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Barriero EC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Floresta EC booed when Barriero EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Floresta EC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Floresta EC's Wilson Figueiredo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ball Bender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Floresta EC's Ball Bender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Perez in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match Barriero EC got a corner. Floresta EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elano Galvão ran over to the corner to take the kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Perez was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Floresta EC's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Perez came free, but Ball Bender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Umberto Perez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Dedê da Silveira came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Floresta EC's João Carlos Hoffmann. But to his dismay, João Carlos Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-4. Floresta EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
