After having played for 6 minutes, Erik Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manaus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juarês Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Toledo having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Paulino's Remo Paraibano tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 17 played minutes Paulino got a freekick which was hit by Remo Paraibano. Kiko de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Toledo having to interfere. Alexandre Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Maia in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Paulino booed when Manaus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kiko de Lara came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alexandre Toledo could save by the left post. Kiko de Lara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexandre Toledo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sidnei Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Osvaldinho Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manaus FC. Virgílio Rosado scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute Virgílio Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Manaus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Rosado came free, but Alexandre Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Manaus FC booed when Paulino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Rosado to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Paulino defense, Nicolas Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldinho Paraense. The Paulino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldinho Paraense should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Paulino's Walmyr de Brito got a free kick in the 59th minute. Nicolas Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Travassos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manaus FC's Alexandre Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Maia in the 68th minute of play. If Erik Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Paulino's Virgílio Rosado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Remo Paraibano's late challenge caught a Manaus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Manaus FC booed when Paulino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Paulino players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
