Cauan Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilson Figueiredo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Floresta EC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Daniel Makariem hit a great ball. After 11 minutes of play, União Independente's Basílio Cunha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ball Bender was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basílio Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Basílio Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Ball Bender. Floresta EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Bernardinho de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Cauan Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floresta EC. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for União Independente! In the 29th minute, the referee gave Floresta EC a penalty. João Carlos Hoffmann looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Cauan Lima. After a rather tough play, Floresta EC's João Carlos Hoffmann got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Sydney Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Figueiredo in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan Lima saved União Independente from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Floresta EC's Cauan Lima threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilson Figueiredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 44 minutes into the game, Floresta EC's João Carlos Hoffmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cauan Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilson Figueiredo to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Figueiredo in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan Lima saved União Independente from getting behind. Floresta EC's Ball Bender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Negri in the 59th minute of play. A hard shot 62 in the game by Sydney Madureira from a close distance when the talented Ball Bender managed to make a qualified save. Floresta EC's players were relieved. When Manuel Negri fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Independente's protests and gave Manuel Negri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Floresta EC booed when União Independente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Carlos Hoffmann's late challenge caught a União Independente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Carlos Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. João Carlos Hoffmann hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Sydney Madureira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Ball Bender when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elivélton Vander's late challenge caught a Floresta EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elivélton Vander helped the player get up and apologised. Sydney Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ball Bender tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Pedrinho Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floresta EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauan Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilson Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Cauan Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floresta EC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Floresta EC fully deserved thier win.
