Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Álvaro Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Nelsinho Moura made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Jean Ramalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nelsinho Moura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Álvaro Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Moura having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of EC Boca do Rio booed when Curucamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Curucamba's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Fernandes came free, but Luís Eduardo Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Curucamba's Bernardo Medeiros got a free kick in the 71st minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Jean Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curucamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristóvão Fernandes's late challenge caught a Curucamba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Curucamba's Luís Eduardo Ferreira got control of the ball when Orlando Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nelsinho Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Medeiros went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Medeiros during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Curucamba getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bernardo Medeiros hit a great ball. Orlando Montenegro in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Eduardo Ferreira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jean Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Nelsinho Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curucamba.
