Geovani Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Buenoia FC's goalkeeper Geovani Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laércio Britto. 11 minutes into the match, Cavalo Crioulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Costa came free, but Reynaldo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Buenoia FC's zone, Laércio Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Pires came out of the goal and Laércio Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Olavo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cavalo Crioulo FC's Reynaldo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Carvalho in the 23rd minute of play. The long shot by Carlos Xavier in the 27th minute really tested Geovani Pires's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 30th minute Anísio Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Urbano having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Laércio Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavalo Crioulo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laércio Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Geovani Pires made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Buenoia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Medeiros came free, but Geovani Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovani Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Britto in the 40th minute. Geovani Pires made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Laércio Britto sent off a good shot on target. After 44 played minutes Cavalo Crioulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Mazza. The wind increased when Olavo Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. Reynaldo Urbano had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Olavo Carvalho from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Geovani Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Britto in the 55th minute of the match. If Olavo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute of the match, Acácio Lara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reynaldo Urbano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 79th minute, Robinho Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovani Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Britto in the 82nd minute of play forced Buenoia FC's goalkeeper Geovani Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Robinho Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Medeiros in the 89th minute of play. Reynaldo Urbano made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Zeca Costa sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeca Costa got free with Reynaldo Urbano in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
