If Luís Paulo de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the game, Franklin Berger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gozado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bandeirantes the free kick. In the 8th minute, Franklin Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bandeirantes's Claudinei Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Zonta in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Luís Paulo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Rui Madureira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinei Botelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Enio Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Claudinei Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesinha Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gozado's Sílvio Tavares got a free kick in the 28th minute. Claudinei Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Madureira in the 35th minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandeirantes's goalkeeper Claudinei Botelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Raí Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandeirantes's protests and gave Raí Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Raí Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Zonta in the 47th minute of play forced Bandeirantes's goalkeeper Claudinei Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After some careless play in the Gozado defense, Cesinha Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Recife. The Gozado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Recife should have stopped the shot. Luís Paulo de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Paulo de Andrade in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Gozado's Yan Peixoto got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gozado's zone, Luís Paulo de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Recife came out of the goal and Luís Paulo de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Luís Paulo de Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Recife was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Donato Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo de Andrade in the 70th minute of play. Enio Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Gozado's Enio Zonta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Botelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gozado's Donato Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Cordeiro in the 78th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Bandeirantes's Luís Paulo de Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Recife narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Paulo de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 2-2 became the score in the 89th minute when Enio Zonta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Gozado got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Trancoso. In the 96th minute Luís Paulo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
