Luís Paulo de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Inácio Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luís Paulo de Andrade sped through Black Tiger F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Inácio Soares. Cesinha Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Soares having to interfere. Cesinha Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Cesinha Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ricardo Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Tiger F.C.'s protests and gave Ricardo Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Raí Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bandeirantes's Claudinei Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Mesquita in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Cordeiro in the 27th minute of play forced Black Tiger F.C.'s goalkeeper Inácio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bandeirantes booed when Black Tiger F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd play minute Edmundo do Nascimento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Claudinei Botelho. 1-1. In the 38thth minute of the game Cesinha Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black Tiger F.C.'s Inácio Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cesinha Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inácio Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo de Andrade in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Black Tiger F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo de Andrade came free, but Inácio Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Mesquita in the 47th minute of play forced Bandeirantes's goalkeeper Claudinei Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Mesquita to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Luís Paulo de Andrade fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Inácio Soares, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Bandeirantes getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Luís Paulo de Andrade hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Black Tiger F.C.'s Noel Godoi got a free kick in the 54th minute. Cesinha Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Inácio Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Luís Paulo de Andrade made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Black Tiger F.C.'s Inácio Soares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Black Tiger F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Cordeiro came free, but Inácio Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Inácio Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Bandeirantes's Cesinha Cordeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 80 played minutes Bandeirantes got a freekick which was hit by Lino Valadares. Lino Valadares's late challenge caught a Black Tiger F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Valadares helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inácio Soares was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Cesinha Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
