Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edinho Tavares kicked off to start the match. Luís Paulo de Andrade had several of the Jaozeiro's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Luiz Gustavo Soares as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo de Andrade in the 8th minute of play forced Jaozeiro's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Walmir de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaozeiro and the Bandeirantes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walmir de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Cesinha Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luiz Gustavo Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Jaozeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo de Andrade came free, but Luiz Gustavo Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Humberto Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaozeiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 22nd minute Luís Paulo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lino Valadares fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandeirantes's protests and gave Lino Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. Lino Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Humberto Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesinha Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaozeiro's Luiz Gustavo Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Jaozeiro from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Jaozeiro getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Luisão Arantes hit a great ball. Cesinha Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 49 minutes into the match, Jaozeiro's Humberto Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Botelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Walmir de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Botelho having to interfere. Bandeirantes's Cesinha Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jaozeiro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Bandeirantes. Gino Lucas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luiz Gustavo Soares. 2-2. Luís Paulo de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Gustavo Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Edinho Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Raí Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesinha Cordeiro in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Gustavo Soares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Fonseca in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudinei Botelho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Cesinha Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Gustavo Soares was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The Bandeirantes fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Bandeirantes's Luís Paulo de Andrade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 92 played minutes, Bandeirantes's Breno de Godoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Soares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bandeirantes reached it. In the 94th minute, Bandeirantes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Humberto Fonseca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Humberto Fonseca in the 98thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudinei Botelho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bandeirantes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
