Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Klæboe started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Poá F.C. booed when Sem Esperança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sem Esperança's Cássio do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Prestes in the 6th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Poá F.C.'s zone, Julian Klæboe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Andrade came out of the goal and Julian Klæboe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poá F.C.'s Beto Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Poá F.C. from getting a goal against them. Julian Klæboe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Beto Andrade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 35 minutes into the match, Poá F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Klæboe came free, but Beto Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poá F.C.'s Beto Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Klæboe in the 36th minute of play. If Julian Klæboe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Barreto in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Sem Esperança was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Klæboe to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Eduardo Barreto to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Sem Esperança's Julian Klæboe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beto Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Sem Esperança got a freekick which was hit by Marcos de Almeida. Julian Klæboe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Julian Klæboe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beto Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Dida de Azevedo's late challenge caught a Poá F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dida de Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Dida de Azevedo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Klæboe in the 88th minute of play forced Poá F.C.'s goalkeeper Beto Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sem Esperança's Julian Klæboe in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poá F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Sem Esperança's Geovânio Paiva got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Sem Esperança's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
