Felipe Toledo came out of the goal and Osvaldo Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 4 minutes into the game, Arthur Lucas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Felipe Toledo. Arthur Lucas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Félix came free, but Lauro de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Laions FC's goalkeeper Felipe Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Ortiz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Lucas in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanks to some nice moves João das Neves could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Felipe Toledo however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Massa in the 18th minute of play forced Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Zé Roberto Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Toledo. Laions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Roberto Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Cachoeiro-ES's Zé Roberto Motta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felipe Toledo. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. Felipe Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Roberto Motta in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Tarcisio Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laions FC's Tarcisio Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Frédson Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lauro de Senna. Cachoeiro-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frédson Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Frédson Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lauro de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Massa came free, but Lauro de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Roberto Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute Célio Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Laions FC's Frédson Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro de Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Cachoeiro-ES from getting a goal against them. Lauro de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Félix in the 70th minute of play. Tarcisio Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Lauro de Senna made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Frédson Abraão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lauro de Senna, 3-3. Aníbal Negri scored 4-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aníbal Negri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Toledo having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, Almir Linhares notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Laions FC's Felipe Toledo. Felipe Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Cachoeiro-ES from getting a goal against them. After 90 minutes of play, Cachoeiro-ES's Zé Roberto Motta made it 6-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
