Inácio Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Black Tiger F.C.'s zone, Lucas Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Soares came out of the goal and Lucas Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Black Tiger F.C.'s Inácio Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Marques in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Squall FC's Lucas Marques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inácio Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Lucas Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inácio Soares was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arí da Rocha during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Squall FC got a freekick which was hit by Arí da Rocha. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Marques was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Squall FC's Johannes Jokiranta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Inácio Soares. Inácio Soares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Squall FC's Arí da Rocha quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrique Torres, made in the 60th minute of the game. A hard shot 67 in the game by Thomás Domingues from a close distance when the talented Inácio Soares managed to make a qualified save. Black Tiger F.C.'s players were relieved. Thomás Domingues let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 72nd minute shot 0-4 at rihgt post. If Thomás Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Thomás Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Squall FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomás Domingues couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Lucas Marques left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Squall FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. When the match was over Squall FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Black Tiger F.C. throughout the match.
