A collision led to Gozado getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Franklin Berger hit a great ball. Ronaldo Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Donato Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gozado's Donato Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Gozado from getting a goal against them. When Delfim Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gozado's protests and gave Delfim Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gozado getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Delfim Sergipano hit a great ball. If Yan Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cachoeiro-ES getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. João das Neves hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Zonta in the 19th minute of play forced Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Zonta came free, but Lauro de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes Gozado got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Novaes. In the 28th minute, Luciano Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 minutes of play, Gozado's Rui Madureira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lauro de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Almir Linhares hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Gozado's Pedrinho Freire broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, Cachoeiro-ES's Arthur Lucas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Donato Recife. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Madureira to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gozado's Claudinho Novaes got a free kick in the 59th minute. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Madureira in the 65th minute of play. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Cachoeiro-ES from getting a goal against them. Lauro de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Rui Madureira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lauro de Senna. The goal made the score 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Rui Madureira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lauro de Senna. That made the score 1-4 in the 74 minute of play. Lauro de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enio Zonta in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Madureira came free, but Lauro de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Sergipano in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Almir Linhares during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Yan Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lauro de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Lauro de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Madureira in the 96th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enio Zonta. In the 100th minute Delfim Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cachoeiro-ES fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gozado were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
