The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Leal during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute Pedro Luís Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiaguinho Carioca acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rodolfo Leal. Walmir de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Vieiras's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Tavares came free, but Tiaguinho Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jaozeiro's zone, Luan Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Soares came out of the goal and Luan Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Gustavo Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luís Donatello in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Antunes during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Jaozeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Gustavo Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Dias in the 81st minute of the match.
