An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Queirós in the 82nd minute of play forced Irajai's goalkeeper Washington Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Irajai's Benjamin da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Váldson de Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rômulo de Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Váldson de Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irajai.
