The supporters of União Flasco booed when Prazeres EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Alagoano's late challenge caught a União Flasco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elentínus Sigfastsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson de Castro having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, União Flasco's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Macedo came free, but Sten Wik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Prazeres EC's zone, Elentínus Sigfastsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Váldson de Castro came out of the goal and Elentínus Sigfastsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sten Wik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Queirós in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, União Flasco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho Luz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Prazeres EC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Júlio Alagoano hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, União Flasco's goalkeeper Sten Wik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Peixoto. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Marcelo Peixoto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sten Wik to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Prazeres EC's Edmundo Terra got a free kick in the 38th minute. Sten Wik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Macedo in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Prazeres EC booed when União Flasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elentínus Sigfastsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Macedo was the one to do the kick off. Váldson de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elentínus Sigfastsson in the 51st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Prazeres EC defense, Elentínus Sigfastsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Váldson de Castro. The Prazeres EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson de Castro should have stopped the shot. Sten Wik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute Elentínus Sigfastsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Guilherme da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elentínus Sigfastsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sten Wik came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Prazeres EC's Marcelo Peixoto. But to his dismay, Marcelo Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 87 minutes into the match, União Flasco's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Queirós came free, but Sten Wik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fellipe Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Prazeres EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
