In the 3rdth minute of the game Pedrinho Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Angaturama's Gerson de Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedrinho Nascimento in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerson de Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedrinho Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson de Brito having to interfere. If Jerônimo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes Regina FC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio de Medeiros. In the 18th minute Diamantino Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Gerson de Brito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice moves Douglas Leme could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Gerson de Brito however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Guilherme Mazza got free with Gerson de Brito in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerson de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Nascimento in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Regina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Xavier to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Hélio Gonçalves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enio Falcão skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Regina FC's Pedrinho Nascimento got a free kick in the 35th minute. Enio Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Sampaio in the 39th minute of play. Cássio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Falcão having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrinho Nascimento to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Cássio Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Regina FC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Regina FC's Pedrinho Nascimento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 62 played minutes Angaturama got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Sampaio. Regina FC's Wiliam Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Sampaio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Regina FC's Enio Falcão. Enio Falcão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st match minute, Angaturama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Luiz Guilherme Mazza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson de Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th match minute, Angaturama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes, Pedrinho Nascimento made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Angaturama's Gerson de Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Regina FC's Pedrinho Nascimento in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Enio Falcão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. There was no doubt that Regina FC were the better team. Regina FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
