The referee showed Olavo Teles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes S.C Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Teles. 18 minutes into the match, Aníbal Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Galatto. S.C Corinthians Paulista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Edmílson Cabral struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rodrigo Galatto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENIX FC. The referee ignored S.C Corinthians Paulista's protests and gave Elivélton Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Elivélton Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes, FENIX FC's Inácio Dantas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Galatto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FENIX FC reached it. 39 minutes into the game, Aníbal Abraão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rodrigo Galatto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olavo Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Antunes having to interfere. Rodrigo Galatto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Trevisan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Erasmo Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FENIX FC's Ivo Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th match minute, FENIX FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Baptista to maneuver through the defense. S.C Corinthians Paulista made a substitution. Dito Fontes replaced Sydney Antunes. Ivo Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Rosa in the 66th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes S.C Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Dito Fontes. After a rather tough play, S.C Corinthians Paulista's Dito Fontes got a free kick in the 75th minute. Edmílson Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, FENIX FC's Edmílson Cabral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Salles in the 91st minute of play forced FENIX FC's goalkeeper Ivo Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
