SC Internacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caneleiros FC the free kick. The supporters of Caneleiros FC booed when SC Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a long run with the ball, Jason Verlinden did a trick in the 30th minute in front of Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-1. The Caneleiros FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Caneleiros FC's Teodoro Carioca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Hoffmann in the 65th minute of play forced Caneleiros FC's goalkeeper Marcus Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Caneleiros FC's Marcus Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Hoffmann in the 72nd minute of play. In the 80th minute Edmílson Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Nakoneczny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Sylwester Nakoneczny made a huge save. If Teodoro Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Caneleiros FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caneleiros FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
