In the 4th minute, Gil Ponta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's Tião de Barros got control of the ball when Jan Koller tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Andrade came free, but Tião de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vítor Cuesta who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Pantanal's corner Vítor Cuesta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tião de Barros quite easily take care of the ball. When José Pedro Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Pantanal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Matorin couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Andrade came free, but Tião de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Vítor Cuesta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tião de Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luiz Fábio Paes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelsinho Berger's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After 29 minutes of play, TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's Nelsinho Berger made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fábio Paes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cássio Vidal during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cássio Vidal hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Pantanal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Koller to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Caco Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tião de Barros to make any attempt to save it. Caco Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Tião de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelsinho Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, José Pedro Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pantanal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF the free kick. In the 53rd minute of the match TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF got a corner. Pantanal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Paulo Carvalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Moisés Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tião de Barros came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Pantanal's Gil Ponta. But to his dismay, Gil Ponta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 61st minute, Caco Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tião de Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's zone, Jan Koller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião de Barros came out of the goal and Jan Koller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 78 minutes, José Pedro Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pantanal's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pedro Matorin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tião de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Koller's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's zone, Caco Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião de Barros came out of the goal and Caco Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Ponta took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tião de Barros. Tião de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 91 minutes into the match, Jan Koller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tião de Barros. TOP™- SANTÁSTICO - FDFDF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Koller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Pantanal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
