The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Vidal was the one to do the kick off. Santos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Internacional F.C the free kick. In the 70th match minute, Santos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Barreto to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Ramón Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durval Britto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Augusto Nascimento put in a rough tackle. Augusto Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 91 minutes of play, Internacional F.C's Ramón Alcântara made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Britto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramón Alcântara got free with Durval Britto in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Santos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Internacional F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
