Spectators: 7467 (Terracing: 5601, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) A collision led to Ibiatiara FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Kaká Gomes hit a great ball. Internacional F.C's Geovânio Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Meira in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Pitta in the 11th minute of play forced Internacional F.C's goalkeeper Geovânio Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Gomes during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Internacional F.C booed when Ibiatiara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovânio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Dias in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Internacional F.C's Edson Toledo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edson Toledo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Internacional F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edson Toledo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 19 minutes into the game, one of Internacional F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Geovânio Ortiz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibiatiara FC's Kaká Gomes. But to his dismay, Kaká Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaká Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão Dias got free with Geovânio Ortiz in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ademar Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Geovânio Ortiz made a huge save. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibiatiara FC's goalkeeper Samuel de Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the game, Internacional F.C's Percy Britto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel de Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 69th minute, Ramón Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramón Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gernando de Lara during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amílton Queiroz took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel de Souza. Samuel de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Geovânio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Gomes in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Ibiatiara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Vidal came free, but Samuel de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Ramón Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. In the 94th minute, Ibiatiara FC's Simão Dias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-4. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
