Samuel de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ibiatiara FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Anísio Moreira scored to the left of an out of position Samuel de Souza, making the score, 1-0. Tapurah's Waldemar Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Gomes in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Ibiatiara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Vaz came free, but Samuel de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ibiatiara FC's Samuel de Souza got control of the ball when Anísio Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ademar Pitta fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibiatiara FC's protests and gave Ademar Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Ibiatiara FC got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Pitta. Felipe Vaz struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Samuel de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapurah. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anísio Moreira got free with Samuel de Souza in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 40 in the game by Anísio Moreira from a close distance when the talented Samuel de Souza managed to make a qualified save. Ibiatiara FC's players were relieved. 43 minutes into the game, Anísio Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Samuel de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anísio Moreira made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Marco dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Meira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Anísio Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuel de Souza came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Tapurah's Anísio Moreira. But to his dismay, Anísio Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Jonas Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Samuel de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Vaz went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Tapurah's Vladimir Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Toscano in the 71st minute of play. Anísio Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute of the match Cristiano Fantini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel de Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Anísio Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel de Souza was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Felipe Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tapurah fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Jano Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel de Souza having to interfere. Tapurah walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
