Rio de Janeiro F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Boleslaw Gamza scored to the left of an out of position Nicolas Mota, making the score, 1-0. Inhumas EC's Léo Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Maia in the 21st minute of play. If Fiori Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Fernandes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicolas Mota came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugo Fernandes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 27th minute. After 32 played minutes Inhumas EC got a freekick which was hit by Yuri da Mata. Léo Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Hugo Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inhumas EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yuri da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yuri da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yuri da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Yuri Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Léo Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Rio de Janeiro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rio de Janeiro F.C.'s goalkeeper Nicolas Mota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Fernandes during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Inhumas EC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Boleslaw Gamza hit a great ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Hugo Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio de Janeiro F.C.'s Nicolas Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Boleslaw Gamza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Inhumas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Maia came free, but Léo Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Rio de Janeiro F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Gamza came free, but Nicolas Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inhumas EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
