Lords of Petrópolis's Krasimir Tanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Mendes in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Mattin got free with Arí Motta in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Lords of Petrópolis's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Mendes came free, but Krasimir Tanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krasimir Tanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Mendes in the 18th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Doni Mendes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Krasimir Tanov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, Manfredo Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armin Paoletti, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Claudio Mattin might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arí Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Mattin ran back to his position shaking his head. A. A. Ponte Preta's attack was well implemented in the 29th minute, but when Doni Mendes was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Krasimir Tanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After some careless play in the Lords of Petrópolis defense, Romário Urbano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krasimir Tanov. The Lords of Petrópolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krasimir Tanov should have stopped the shot. When Armin Paoletti came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Lords of Petrópolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Paoletti couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Mattin in the 45th minute of play forced A. A. Ponte Preta's goalkeeper Arí Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doni Mendes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, A. A. Ponte Preta's Manfredo Toscano got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Armin Paoletti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arí Motta. A. A. Ponte Preta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 60th minute, Claudio Mattin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lords of Petrópolis booed when A. A. Ponte Preta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Armin Paoletti sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A. A. Ponte Preta's Arí Motta didn't even have to move. In the 64th minute, César Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Claudio Mattin sped through A. A. Ponte Preta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arí Motta. 70 minutes into the match, Claudio Mattin notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of A. A. Ponte Preta's Arí Motta. Arí Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Krasimir Tanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilian Novaes charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilian Novaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wilian Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. A. A. Ponte Preta's Arí Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Nogueira in the 78th minute of play. Manfredo Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Lords of Petrópolis's Armin Paoletti tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Claudio Mattin notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of A. A. Ponte Preta's Arí Motta. Arí Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Hudson Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krasimir Tanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
