Carlos Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Ulryk Charlos made a huge save. After 12 played minutes FLAMENSHOW got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Prata. After a defensive mix-up in FLAMENSHOW's zone, Doni Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulryk Charlos came out of the goal and Doni Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, Vito Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FLAMENSHOW's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. A. Ponte Preta the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in FLAMENSHOW fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Arí Motta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tobias Erruki went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Romário Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Ulryk Charlos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Doni Mendes in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Doni Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulryk Charlos having to interfere. In the 45th minute Doni Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Charlos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Erruki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Arí Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Erruki to make the kick off. Romário Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulryk Charlos having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Mendes in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulryk Charlos saved FLAMENSHOW from getting behind. Arí Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Erruki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Romário Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the A. A. Ponte Preta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Urbano couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Mendes in the 71st minute of play forced FLAMENSHOW's goalkeeper Ulryk Charlos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tobias Erruki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Tobias Erruki kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arí Motta. That made the score 2-3 in the 76 minute of play. Valdomiro Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Doni Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ulryk Charlos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romário Urbano scored 3-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulryk Charlos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FLAMENSHOW booed when A. A. Ponte Preta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
