Nicolas Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Quirino in the 46th minute of the match. Nelson de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Nicolas Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Bernardinho de Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Nicolas Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Doni Sá's late challenge caught a Rio de Janeiro F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Sá helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Amazing Football Club's Doni Sá got a free kick in the 96th minute. Virgílio Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Gilberto Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio de Janeiro F.C.. Amazing Football Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
