Spectators: 7514 (Terracing: 5636, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Abelardo Netto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Sydney Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gugu Pena. OFF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sydney Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in OFF's zone, Haroldo Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Pena came out of the goal and Haroldo Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cafu de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Netto in the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Paúl Breitner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marasco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paúl Breitner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Haroldo Teles notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of OFF's Gugu Pena. Gugu Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 22 minutes, Telmo Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marasco and the OFF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abelardo Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu de Queiroz having to interfere. Agnaldo Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Gernando Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OFF and the Marasco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes OFF got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Duarte. Dorival Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gugu Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paúl Breitner kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes OFF got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni de Queiroz. After a rather tough play, Marasco's Beto Galvão got a free kick in the 44th minute. Abelardo Netto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. OFF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Agnaldo Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Abelardo Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu de Queiroz having to interfere. Cafu de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute Abelardo Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cafu de Queiroz having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Marasco's zone, Abelardo Netto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu de Queiroz came out of the goal and Abelardo Netto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Haroldo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Duarte in the 92nd minute of play forced Marasco's goalkeeper Cafu de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Abelardo Netto made a precise shot to the right of Cafu de Queiroz. Marasco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. When the referee ended the match the OFF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
