Raphael Rodrigues made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 19thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jaime Moraes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The supporters of Penna booed when Cafeína FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cafeína FC's zone, Mateus Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí das Neves came out of the goal and Mateus Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mateus Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Cafeína FC got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho de Godoi. Hugo Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jaime Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Rodrigues in the 53rd minute of the match. Raí das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Penna's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Rodrigues came free, but Jaime Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raphael Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Mateus Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Hugo Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jaime Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Rodrigues in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cafeína FC's zone, Mateus Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí das Neves came out of the goal and Mateus Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cafeína FC's Lúcio da Silva got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 71 minutes, Raphael Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafeína FC and the Penna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Raphael Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Penna's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio da Silva came free, but Jaime Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Raphael Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Penna failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
