Cícero de Andrade took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerônimo Santos. Jerônimo Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Pato City's Abelardo Meirelles got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute Cícero de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jerônimo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guerreiros SC's Jerônimo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero de Andrade in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guerreiros SC's Tiago Matos got a free kick in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Cícero de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerônimo Santos. Guerreiros SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cícero de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Leandro Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Guerreiros SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Pato City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Lopez in the 41st minute of play forced Guerreiros SC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Falcão struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Luís Paulo Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerreiros SC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cícero de Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Guerreiros SC booed when Pato City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, Guerreiros SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Falcão to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Fausto Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerônimo Santos. The goal made the score 0-3. Pato City's Breno Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cícero de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pato City's protests and gave Cícero de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Pato City got a freekick which was hit by Cícero de Andrade. In the 78th minute, Cícero de Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Jerônimo Santos. Guerreiros SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 86th minute, Cícero de Andrade reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerônimo Santos. The goal made the score 0-6. After 90 played minutes Pato City got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Cardoso. Luís Paulo Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Falcão in the 92nd minute of play. Jerônimo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Meireles in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero de Andrade in the 94th minute of play forced Guerreiros SC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerônimo Santos was a little too slow when Olívio Meireles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-7.
