Cafeína FC's Raí das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Salgado in the 13th minute of play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by 彡ᴘᴏꜱᴇɪᴅᴏɴ ᴇꜱᴘᴏʀᴛꜱ彡's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Léo Saraiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Cafeína FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Cafeína FC's Lúcio da Silva getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Décio Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. 彡ᴘᴏꜱᴇɪᴅᴏɴ ᴇꜱᴘᴏʀᴛꜱ彡's supporters rose to their feet, but Décio Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes, Jonas Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 彡ᴘᴏꜱᴇɪᴅᴏɴ ᴇꜱᴘᴏʀᴛꜱ彡 and the Cafeína FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cafeína FC booed when 彡ᴘᴏꜱᴇɪᴅᴏɴ ᴇꜱᴘᴏʀᴛꜱ彡 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Gustavo Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Sabóia in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Cafeína FC's Raí das Neves got control of the ball when Alexsandro Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Cafeína FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 彡ᴘᴏꜱᴇɪᴅᴏɴ ᴇꜱᴘᴏʀᴛꜱ彡:s goal. In the 46th minute, Laerte Sabóia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Raphael Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio da Silva hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Viana notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cafeína FC's Raí das Neves. Raí das Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raí das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Salgado in the 68th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes Cafeína FC got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio da Silva. Alexsandro Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Raí das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexsandro Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute, Alexsandro Hermes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cafeína FC's zone, Alexsandro Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí das Neves came out of the goal and Alexsandro Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 彡ᴘᴏꜱᴇɪᴅᴏɴ ᴇꜱᴘᴏʀᴛꜱ彡 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cafeína FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
