Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfredão Figueiredo made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Sambaitiba's Yuri Branco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yuri Branco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sambaitiba protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yuri Branco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Walmir Novaes had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Inácio Valladares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Guto Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Novaes having to interfere. Guto Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guto Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredão Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Walmir Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guto Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute Alfredão Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Medeiros came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Sambaitiba's Antônio Damião. But to his dismay, Antônio Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Figueiredo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmir Novaes saved Sambaitiba from getting behind. If Alfredão Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durvalino Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sidnei Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, ROSA DOS VENTOS FC's goalkeeper Sidnei Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Damião. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Figueiredo in the 33rd minute of play forced Sambaitiba's goalkeeper Walmir Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredão Figueiredo took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmir Novaes. Walmir Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. José Augusto de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 42 minutes, Ulisses Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sambaitiba and the ROSA DOS VENTOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ROSA DOS VENTOS FC booed when Sambaitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Guto Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Guto Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSA DOS VENTOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durvalino Recife made a kick off. Guto Soares struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Walmir Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROSA DOS VENTOS FC. In the 56th match minute, Sambaitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match Inácio Valladares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walmir Novaes skillfully saved the ball. Durvalino Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sidnei Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Durvalino Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Durvalino Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidnei Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 73rd minute, Inácio Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, ROSA DOS VENTOS FC's Fabiano de Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Guto Soares struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Walmir Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROSA DOS VENTOS FC. Alfredão Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guto Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Novaes having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sambaitiba fans cheered their team off the field, for while ROSA DOS VENTOS FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
