A wasted opportunity for Star Sports. 9 minutes into the game, Star Sports's Hermínio Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filipe Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Anderson Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Star Sports's Anderson Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Star Sports from getting a goal against them. Sidney Vides's late challenge caught a M.O.T.O.R fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Star Sports's Richard Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Kléberson Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. M.O.T.O.R fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Star Sports the free kick. After 34 played minutes M.O.T.O.R fc got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Mazza. A collision led to Star Sports getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Sidney Vides hit a great ball. Richard Borgess short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Filipe Gerber to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hermínio Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 64 in the game by Cláudio Brodel from a close distance when the talented Filipe Gerber managed to make a qualified save. M.O.T.O.R fc's players were relieved. In the 67thth minute of the game Hermínio Sanches who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but M.O.T.O.R fc's Filipe Gerber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Star Sports's Cláudio Brodel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filipe Gerber. That made the score 1-3 after 74 minutes of play. William Borges hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Star Sports's goalkeeper Anderson Peixoto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Richard Borges fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Filipe Gerber was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Hermínio Sanches capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hermínio Sanches really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Filipe Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Star Sports's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
