An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Montenegro in the 24th minute of play forced SC Inter's goalkeeper Marco Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, SC Inter's Sydney Hoffmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Guilherme Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sydney Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Luiz Guilherme Cunha made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Favoretto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jaime Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of ATRITO FC booed when SC Inter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Inter fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Luizão Moreira walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. SC Inter's Marco Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SC Inter from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd match minute, ATRITO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Souza to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Secco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Guilherme Cunha. ATRITO FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luizinho Montenegros short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Marco Sampaio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 94th match minute, SC Inter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Costa to maneuver through the defense. SC Inter's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
