In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind ѶEŁĦѦЅ ѶǁЯGEƝЅ ↄⅎ's goalkeeper Eugênio Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Cunha came out of the goal and Casimiro Montrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Luiz Guilherme Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizinho Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Eugênio Trigo made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Luizinho Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Guilherme Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Seco's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Ernesto Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Favoretto to make the kick off. Eugênio Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of ATRITO FC booed when ѶEŁĦѦЅ ѶǁЯGEƝЅ ↄⅎ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ernesto Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
