Rubens Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vøn der Völke. Abelardo Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Cruz having to interfere. Vøn der Völke's Otávio de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abelardo Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rubens Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubens Cruz came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Vøn der Völke's Abelardo Paranaense. But to his dismay, Abelardo Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 34th minute Otávio de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vøn der Völke's Arthur Tepedino in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itaberaba FC's goalie prevented a goal. Rubens Cruz came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Vøn der Völke's Otávio de Lara. But to his dismay, Otávio de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Otávio de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arthur Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. Fabiano Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Salles having to interfere. In the 52nd match minute, Vøn der Völke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Leão to maneuver through the defense. Rubens Cruz stood somewhat misplaced when Arthur Tepedino came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 55 minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Arthur Tepedino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaberaba FC's Rubens Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Vøn der Völke got a corner. Itaberaba FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amran Hutagaol ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot 77 in the game by Abelardo Paranaense from a close distance when the talented Rubens Cruz managed to make a qualified save. Itaberaba FC's players were relieved. In the 80th minute, Fabiano Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Arthur Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubens Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abelardo Paranaense in the 86th minute. Otávio de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rubens Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Itaberaba FC booed when Vøn der Völke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Mazzola didn't get a good kick on the ball.
